Tonight was a take out night. Both of us tired from a hard days work and a fussy toddler produced a lack of motivation I haven't felt for some time. so off to the menu drawer I went.

I decided on Thai, Zab Thai restaurant in South Everett. Dining in experience is great with wonderful service and a delightful atmosphere. I have to say, their delivery is not only fast but friendly. Used to a burnout pizza delivery driver standing at the door, to see a smiling face when I open the door is something I didn't think I would appreciate but I did.
They have a real appreciation for patronage, it's refreshing. The food is always plentiful and delicious. It's kind of hard to have a flattering photo for a take out meal but it's quite tasty. Some of the appetizers border on greasy for the fried items, but acceptable considering. All of their currys have a wonderful fresh flavor, some with basil and lemongrass. Pictured on rice is crispy cashew nut chicken It's my personal favorite, with fresh nuts and peppers and the side being crab delight puffs which are so-so. They rate their heat scale on a 1-4 star. 1 star seems to be everyone elses 2 so beware if your heat sensitive. Definatly worth a try if your a thai fan.

Breakfast and then some.

Well this afternoon my family and I decided on
breakfast for lunch. Having a 1 year old kind
of slows the routine. I had heard of a wonderful place in the Seattle area called Patty's eggnest.
Just so happens that there was one in the South Everett Wa area. Not not wanting to pass up a chance at a review quoted "best breakfast", I was there. From past experiences I have realized
some breakfasts are like samplers of what an establishment has to offer. I know that menu special boards are a good way to go. So I took a glimpse at the single pink printed page in the middle of my menu and decided the "Big Ol' Country Fried Steak breakfast was what my heart desired. I was treated with a fairly large steak. Thicker than I had experienced in the past but nonetheless Tasty. I haven't figured out if these are food service purchased steaks or hand made in the back, Almost positive its the latter because it was tender and juicy with the right amount of crunch in the breading. The sausage gravy was a pleasure with real pork sausage chunks and a milky smooth texture. The sizeble portion of hash browns was good but was only brown on one side due to what I assumed was the cook heaping a pile on th griddle and flipping straight to the plate. Egg perfectly over medium. Thick texas toast fully buttered and crispy. Service was great as well with entertaining gossip from raspy voiced diner veterans. price was great, my meal being in the sub $10 range with oj[fresh squeezed in house] as a beverage.
Try their banana bread mini loafs, made fresh and $3 each

Well away we go!

Here is my attempt at a successful dining and food experience blog.
I like food...actually I LOVE food. The pitfall in my physical fitness
routine.

I am a 28 yr old Everett, Wa resident currently working for an investment
company in the same area. I don't invest or even help them invest.
I fix and repair their investments. So I'm a regular blue collar guy
who, did I mention loves food.

I have lived in Florida, Oregon and Washington. That said, I hope
I can use my experienced palette to assist everyone in their search for
great food and good times.

So I will be traveling between oregon [to visit family] and washington
where I reside, Hopefully bringing you up to date on the best and the
worst eats around the area.
